Our first twister

The National Weather Service reported that a small tornado touched down in West St. Louis County Saturday afternoon. Granted, we don’t exactly live in that area, but we did get to experience an exciting thunderstorm. Actually, I have never seen a storm like it before, dark clouds moving upward above a green sky followed by sheets of rain which turned into hail and massive wind and all within a matter of minutes. After it had passed, blue skies.

While, we were home on Saturday, we heard the sirens go off and then the radio blared a tornado warning to, “get into the basement and stay clear of windows.” So, we went to the windows to watch the action. Benjamin was mesmerized.

Now we are looking forward to our next twister.
