A cold day at the pond

While we were in Oregon we traveled to Washington to visit Benjamin’s cousin Sara. At the end of a great visit we decided to take Ben fishing for the first time. Unfortunately Sara had to go to school and couldn’t join us.

The pond was on a friend’s onion farm. It was cold but smelled onion sweet.

We had many nibbles and almost catches.

Finally, we were able to catch a fish and little did the fish know how popular he would be.

Benjamin couldn’t keep his eyes of the fish. Here he is with Uncle James.

Finally we said goodbye and put the fish back in the pond.

Maybe next time Benjamin will be able to fish with his own pole.
